PRT Consulting, Inc.

Professor Ingmar Andréasson - Consultant

Professor Ingmar Anderson

Ingmar Andréasson is a Guest Professor and director of the Center for Traffic Research at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and a consultant in LogistikCentrum. His special interest is PRT systems design, modeling and control strategies. He developed the generic PRT modeling suite PRTsim which has been applied in over 30 locations in Europe and the Middle East.

Dr. Andréasson has published over 30 scientific papers and reports on PRT, he directed university cross-discipline PRT research and has given PhD courses in PRT modeling. He has also developed transit planning models, taxi fleet management systems and road traffic simulation models.

Dr. Andréasson has participated in PRT system design and development and he is the inventor of five international patents relating to PRT control.

Unique features in PRTsim include load sensitive dynamic routing, merge strategies with priority, platooning of empty vehicles, high-speed sections, pair-coupled vehicles, ride-sharing strategies, reallocation of empty vehicles en route, assignment in mixed networks and arc-elastic transit demand.

Key Projects
